We’re a part of something different: The Seed Commons cooperative network for non-extractive finance, one that advances workplace democracy and grows the capacity of communities to determine their own economic future, starting with the workers the current system excludes.

What is a Worker Cooperative?

A worker cooperative is a business owned and democratically controlled by its employees, who are also the members, sharing profits and governance. Unlike traditional companies, worker-owners have a direct stake in the company's financial success and management, fostering a values-driven model focused on worker and community benefit, increased motivation, and economic stability.
